    53001 - Woodland Play

    Woodland Play campers, ages 5-7yrs, can look forward to games, music, arts and crafts,swimming, outdoor play and so much more! Fridays, campers will go on a field trip, exploring the local area amenities. Each week campers will spend time at Rec West, enjoying the game room, movie theatre and other activity spaces on campus.     53002 - Backwoods

    The Backwoods camp, for ages 7-9yrs, always has a full itinerary! Campers spend their day playing games, creating arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing and experiencing our indoor climbing wall, with the help of our certified staff. Backwoods explorers travel on Tuesdays to wonderful destinations that offer enriching experiences. Scheduled time is also spent at Rec West participating in indoor activities and taking in a movie at our vintage theatre room. Do not miss the fun!     53003 - Backwoods & Beyond

    For our older campers ages 11-14, Backwoods and Beyond offers three days of travel on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Field trips include visiting different destinations across the Miami Valley and Southwest Ohio. Tuesdays and Thursdays are spent playing games, participating in activities and experiencing many of the other options that the Rec Center and Rec West facilities offer. On any day of the week, you can catch the Backwoods and Beyond campers taking a swim at the pool or climbing the rock wall.     53004 - Caravan

    Caravan campers, ages 9-11, travel three days a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday to a new destination each trip. Campers visit local and state parks, educational sites, amusement centers, and still find a little time to have fun at the Rec Center. While on campus, campers can be found swimming, climbing the rock wall, canoeing and using the various gym spaces for sports and recreation.     53005 - Art

    Get your brushes ready and expand your creative palate in a wide variety of creative art projects this summer. Campers will use a variety of mediums to explore new ways to express their own artistic personality from fashion to sculpture to pen and paper! Daily activities are held at Rec Center and also include traditional camp favorites such as swimming and organized outdoor play. Dirt Alert! Art campers should wear old clothing as projects and activities can get messy.     Summer camp with Washington Township is the best of high quality arts programming and traditional summer camp. Students develop life skills such as public speaking, collaboration and communication through skills such as improv, movement and acting workshops. Each session ends in a final showcase performance that celebrates the students achievements. Campers will also swim at the Rec Center, play traditional summer camp games and build skills and friendships that last a lifetime. Theatre camps do not travel on field trips. Camp will be at Rec West Monday-Thursday and Town Hall Theatre on Fridays.     This full week camp for ages 5-6 offers activities including summer sports, cooking, art, nature fun, music and science all while following the weekly theme. A 30-minute swim time in our recreational pool with water toys will be included from 11:30 - Noon . Children should wear their swimsuits under their clothes and bring a backpack with a towel.     This full week camp for ages 3-4 offers activities including summer sports, cooking, art, nature fun, music and science all while following the weekly theme.     53200 - Camp-Spring Break

    You donít have to travel out of town to have fun this spring break! Kids in grades K-5 can spend their break with the camp staff at the Washington Township Recreation Center enjoying activities from 9:00am- 4:00pm. Rec West will be the home base for the camp but the campers will use all areas of both facilities and park, as weather permits. Local field trips will be offered to make this week seem like a vacation in your own back yard! Camp registration is for the entire week. AM/PM Extended Care is offered from 7:30-9:00am and 4:00-6:15pm at an additional fee.


    Campers will need to complete the Participant Profile Form if they have not participated in the 2018 Camp/Rec'ing Crew or School Day Off programs this year. An email invite from CampDocs will be sent to all participants to create the Participant Profile. The Participant Profile must be completed prior to the camp week start date. All trips and supply fees are included. Trip schedule is tentative due to site and/or weather problems.


    Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and a swim suit/towel daily.

    53300 - Winter Camp

    Let it snow, snow, snow! Spark curiosity and creativity in your child during the coldest months of the year! The Recreation Center is the place to be this holiday season when school is out for the winter break. The four day camp format allows your child to participate in a wide variety of activities to include field trips, gym games, movies on the big screen, swimming and more! Spend your Winter Break at the Recreation Center where fun and silliness collide! Itís the smart place to have fun.
    The camp willl run from December 30th through January 3rd. We will not have camp on January 1st.

    56999 - School Days Off

    We start our day of adventure by gathering in the game room at Rec West! From there activities abound to include field trips, crafts, mind games, sports challenges, swimming, climbing wall and/or park play weather permitting. Please bring lunch, swimsuit, and towel each day. You may sign your child up for one or all of the School Days Off.

    It is our intention to adhere to the schedule, but changes may be necessary due to unforseen circumstances. No refunds will be given for location changes made to the travel schedule, including canceling of field trips due to weather or site difficulties.

    In the interest of safety an Emergency Medical Form is required for all participants enrolled in any of the School Day Off scheduled days and is available at www.washingtontwp.org/youthcare. Those participants who have been enrolled in the 2017 Summer Camp program or are currently participating in the 2017/18 Rec'ing Crew do not have to complete the Emergency Medical Form.

    * (Low Rec) - Beginner/Recreational level of competition. Fun, yet competitive.
    ** (High Rec) - A step above the beginner/recreational level. A bit more skilled and faster paced.

    67105 - Vball Leagues

    Sign up for the popular All Girls Volleyball League for ages 13-18! Practices are once a week at a Centerville City School or at the Rec Center with games on Saturdays at the Rec Center. The season runs through May 16. Teams are coached by parents/volunteers. Practice times/days and other requests cannot be guaranteed (unless a parent coaches) and are based upon the number of players and coaches.     67110 - Indoor Soccer

    All levels of players are welcome to play on this indoor soccer league. Younger teams will play three-a-side & older teams will play a five-a-side. The game is played on a basketball-sized court without the use of sidewalls. A 20 minute practice will be held before games. All games will take place on Saturdays. A WTRC staff member will assist leading the players through drills prior to the game and then referee the games. Parents may be asked to assist.

    67115 - Coed Tee Ball

    Coed T-Ball (ages 5-6) & Coed Machine Pitch Baseball with the option of hitting off a tee (ages 7-8) are instructional leagues which focuses on skill development and teamwork. Practices are once a week in WTRC's Countryside Park with games on Saturdays.

    67116 - Blastball

    Blastball is an exciting way to introduce 3 - 5 year olds to the sport of baseball. The rules are simple and the equipment is tailored to young players with soft bats and a soft ball so that gloves are not required. Teams will practice for 20-30 minutes, volunteer coaches are needed, and a 30 minute game will follow. All practices/games take place on Saturdays outdoors in Countryside Park for Outdoor Blastball. Parents may be asked to assist.

    To assist us in putting rosters together and to ensure your child gets a team shirt for the first game, please register by MAY 11 for Outdoor Blastball. Prices will increase $15 after that date.

    67120 - Outdoor Soccer

    Our soccer league is an instructional league for children which focuses on skill development, teamwork, and fun! Practices are once a week in WTRC's Countryside Park with games on Saturdays.

    Teams are coached by parents/volunteers. Practice times/days and other requests cannot be guaranteed (unless a parent coaches) and are based upon the number of players and coaches. If interested in being a volunteer coach, contact Lori Fields at 937-432-2803 or lori.fields@washingtontwp.org.

    We ask that everyone register by JULY 27 to ensure us time to put rosters together, have coaches assigned to each team and to ensure your child will have a team shirt prior to the first game. Price will increase $15 after that date.
    We play the following format:

    The 3-5 age group will be a coed 3 v 3 league with no goalkeepers
    The 6-7 age group will be a coed 4 v 4 league with no goalkeepers
    The 8-9 age group will be a coed 7 v 7 league (6 field players + 1 goalkeeper)
    The 10-12 age group will be a coed 8 v 8 league (7 field players + 1 goalkeeper)
    3-5 Age Group is FULL
    6-7 Age Group is FULL

    *Special note - age groups may be combined depending on overall numbers in each age group

    67125 - Basketball 5-12 Coed

    Boys and girls ages 5-11 will have the opportunity to participate in our coed recreational basketball league. Practices are once a week at a Centerville City School or at the Rec Center, with games on Saturdays at the Rec Center. The Spring session begins two weeks following the last winter games.

    Teams are coached by parents/volunteers. Practice times/days and other requests cannot be guaranteed (unless a parent coaches) and are based upon the number of players and coaches. If interested in being a volunteer coach, contact Daniel Ruble 937-432-2803 or daniel.ruble@washingtontwp.org.

    Each team will have the chance to participate in a basketball clinic led by Thom Townsley, professional coach with the Indiana Pacers. Parents are encouraged to attend. The date and time will be announced in a team email prior to the start of the season.

    67126 - Basketball 12-14 Coed

    BOYS LEAGUE & GIRLS LEAGUE. We are attempting to get enough boys to form an all boys league and enough girls to form an all girls league. This is a fun/non-competitive league that is recreational in nature. Players can register with their friends and form a team - just make note in the additional comments section those players you wish to play with.

    Teams must have no more than 10 players on a roster. In the event there is not enough to split into a boys and girls league; we will play coed.

    All teams will be coached by volunteer coaches. Call or email Daniel Ruble at 433-2803, daniel.ruble@washingtontwp.org. There will be a 10-15 minute practice session followed by a game on Saturdays.

    Help your child develop a lifetime love for running and healthy lifestyle with this introductory Cross Country youth league. This inclusive program welcomes all abilities and will inspire young runners to unlock their potential, set and achieve personal goals, and build discipline. Best of all, participants will have the opportunity to "represent" the WTRC at local races throughout the spring!

    Join other basketball enthusiasts in these guaranteed 8-week leagues. All games will officiated. With a tournament at the end of the season. All teams must have matching jerseys/shirts. Additionally, all participants must be 35 and older.
