    Explore the far reaches of your imagination by creating your own play. Each session will focus on creating a show, designing not only sets, but also costumes. This session we will focus on the magical stories of Moana, Maui and others as we explore the rich culture found in Disney's Moana. Students will also memorize lines and blocking. This class will help students understand characters, story, and setting; culminating in a performance for family and friends!

    Make new friends, become comfortable speaking in front of a group, and feel successful about putting on your own mini-play! Each class will begin by reading a story or picking out a costume. Students then use the story and their imaginations to create a mini-play! Family and friends are invited to be our audience at the last five minutes of each class!

    18035 - Acting - Level 1

    This course is a prerequisite for being cast in a Showcase Series production at Town Hall Theatre. The curriculum concentrates on monologues and short scenes. Each student will understand theatre terminology and the process of going through technical rehearsal to a performance. Completion of this course is dependent on accruing no more than two absences and receiving a passing grade on the theatre terms quiz.

    18036 - Acting - Level 2

    This course is a prerequisite for being cast in any Mainstage production at Town Hall Theatre. Students will learn how to create characters that can "live" through an entire show, as well as learn how to tackle callbacks. Students will also polish their musical auditioning skills by developing a song monologue combination! Actors will understand how to research a role and why it is important. Students must have already completed Acting Level 1 to enroll in this course. Completion of this course is dependent on accruing no more than two absences, a final scene, and a character presentation.

    18071 - Audition Intensive

    Focusing on musical theatre this special session will enable you to make sure you're ready to nail that next musical audition at Town Hall Theatre and beyond. Students will enhance their vocal technique, begin to gain confidence in their acting choices while singing and reciting a monologue, and develop a strong audition package. Students should bring one musical piece prepared ahead of time with sheet music as well as a memorized monologue. Remember to bring the monologue with you so we can break it down. All students will be asked to perform both your song and monologue and recieve one on one coaching during this class.

    18157 - Law & Order: Fairy Tail Unit

    This Showcase Series is our introductory performance program for young actors and features non-musical adaptations of familiar stories with a less intense rehearsal and performance commitment than out regular stage series. Each show rehearses just 4 hours weekly, culminating in a one week-end run as part of our stage series for the public! In the fairy tale criminal justice system, the characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes are represented by two separate yet equally ridiculous groups: the fairy tale police who investigate fairy tale crime, and the fairy tale district attorneys who prosecute the fairy tale offenders. These are their stories. The show is scheduled to run Feb 16-18, 2018. Acceptance into this class is by audition only. Audition information is available on our website.
