    38034 - Intro to Acting

    Make new friends, become comfortable speaking in front of a group, and feel successful about putting on your own mini play. Each class will begin with reading a story. Students then use the story and their imaginations to create a mini play! Families and friends are invited to be our audience the last five minutes of each class.

    38035 - Acting - Level 1

    38035 - Acting - Level 1

    This course is a prerequisite for being cast in a Showcase Series production at Town Hall Theatre. The curriculum concentrates on monologues and short scenes. Each student will understand theatre terminology and the process of going through technical rehearsal to a performance. Completion of this course is dependent on accruing no more than two absences and receiving a passing grade on the theatre terms quiz.

    38036 - Acting- Level 2

    38036 - Acting- Level 2

    This course is a prerequisite for being cast in any Mainstage production at Town Hall Theatre. Students will learn how to create characters that can "live" through an entire show, as well as learn how to tackle callbacks. Students will also polish their musical auditioning skills by developing a song monologue combination! Actors will understand how to research a role and why it is important. Students must have already completed Acting Level 1 to enroll in this course. Completion of this course is dependent on accruing no more than two absences.

    38050 - Whodunnit: Unsolved Mysteries

    This summer you can be Sherlock Holmes! Or Watson! Or even the Butler! This weekly crime class helps students learn to build characters while also having the fun of solving weekly mysteries! Students will have the opportunity to play different roles every week and try their best to solve the crime before the timer runs out! Everyone loves escape rooms, but can your student solve the crime?

    38055 - Ace Your Auditions

    In this class, students will work on expanding their repertoire of monologues and songs that they can use during auditions. Students will also work on skills that will help them during auditions such as cold readings and sight reading music. Students will participate in mock auditions, which will help students become more comfortable auditioning.

    38095 - Intro to Theatre Dance

    This class is designed to introduce performers to musical theatre movement on stage, also known as choreography. Basic dance styles such as Jazz and Broadway will be covered as well as beginning moves for each genre. This class is an opportunity for actors to become more proficient in learning choreography and shine at their next callback or talent show. There will be a performance on the last day in our rec west auditorium for family members and friends!
