    This class offers our youngest actors the chance to explore imaginative play in a creative introduction to theatre alongside their favorite adult. Students will be encouraged to blossom and express themselves as they develop their individual voices. New materials from our "costume closet" will be used to engage and bring out our shyest performers.

    A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, explore the far reaches of your imagination as you work together to create your own play. This session will focus on bringing the world of Star Wars to life. Students will also memorize lines and blocking. This class will help students understand characters, story, and setting; culminating in a performance for family and friends!

    Have you ever wondered how to perform a realistic and safe fight scene on stage? In this action packed class, students will learn combat safety, as well as sharpen their acting skills to make a fight scene come to life. Students will get to choose a character, and learn how to choreograph their own fight scenes, which they will perform for friends and family on stage!

    18034 - Intro to Acting

    Using great children's literature, we bring stories to life right before your very eyes. Begin to develop valuable life skills like communication, collaboration, and build new friendships along the way. Students will explore the actors toolbox and see how they can use them to bring their favorite characters to life. The last 5 minutes of each class will be a performance for family and friends.

    18035 - Acting - Level 1

    This course explores acting fundementals with a focus on monologues, short scenes, and the theatre making process. This is your chance to build your skills as an actor and to have a great audition! Successful completion of this course allows students to audition for the Showcase Series productions at Town Hall Theatre. Completion of this class is dependent on accruing no more than two absences and receiving a passing grade on the theatre terms quiz.

    18036 - Acting - Level 2

    Learn how to build engaging characters ontage, be in an ensemble, succeed at callbacks, and do your actor homework! Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for being cast in a Mainstage Series production at Town Hall Theatre. Completion of this course is dependent on accruing no more than two absences, and a final showcase presentation. Acting - Level 1 is a prerequisite for this course.

    This class is designed to introduce the non-singing actor to successful musical vocal production, and to give the experienced vocalist the opportunity to advance the skills required for excellent singing. Basic vocal production, including proper breathing, pitch, tone and much more will be covered all while getting to sing popular songs from theatre and the radio! There will even be a performance!

    In this class, students will work on expanding their repertoire of monologues and songs that they can use during auditions. Students will also work on skills that will help them during auditions such as cold readings and sight reading music. Students will participate in mock auditions, which will help students become more comfortable auditioning.

    Get ready to explore a truly fun and expressive dance form. This beginner level class will focus on proper instruction of how to move your body as well as explore musicality, rhythm, and style. It's easy to follow, low impact, and a great skill for any theatre kid to develop! No experience is necessary. There will be a final performance for all your family and friends!
